Subcool seeds created The Vortex by crossing Space Queen and Apollo 13. This is a mind-bending strain that will have you not knowing which way is up or down. TGA tested several different hybrids between Space Queen and Apollo 13 before coming up with the pungent and sweet Vortex strain as their final selection. This strain is very resinous and is great for bubble hash. It has a racing and energetic high that is quite psychadelic.
Vortex will form the classic Christmas tree shape without any topping, but for the best yields, top your plants early and train to form multiple colas. During the dark period, this strain will actually wilt, making it appear to be needing water. Remove lower side branches so that way most of the plants energies goes to forming large buds at the top. Flowering at 3 feet tall, plants will finish at just around 5 feet and will spread out wide. She is bright green and has red hairs on the buds that fade to rusty brown towards the end of flowering. The buds are rock hard and dense.
