Vanilluna, AKA Vanilla Moon, is a Kush hybrid that is named for its subtle vanilla, honey and cream taste. This strain came from Oregon and has Blueberry parents. The mother came from a Blueberry Sativa line that created the popular Blue Satellite and Cocoa Kush strains. Vanilluna’s specific mother plant is larger, green and symmetric. She also has compact nodes and long side branches. She was then crossed with DJ Short’s Original Blueberry, which is a euphoric blueberry strain that came from a Thai and Afghan hybrid origin.
The Original Blueberry father is an Indica Blueberry strain, while the mother is a Sativa Blueberry strain. Due to this, it makes Vanilluna more of an F1 hybrid which means she is more valuable for breeders and growers.
Vanilluna forms into a medium plant that resembles Kush strains. She has short nodes, uniform growth and has thick stems. The buds form into tight and dense colas that are shaped like spades. As flowering goes on, the buds become completely covered in trichomes and the smell increases. Vanilluna is not a strain to be harvest early, because during the last week or so she tends to finish up nicely with extra oils. To maximize your yields with Vanilluna, top her early and add in extra vegetation time. You can also grow Vanilluna, untopped, in a sea of green garden if that is what you prefer. At harvest time, you’ll be rewarded with a resin covered plant that makes some great tasting and strong hash.
Vanilluna is a tasteful strain. She has a smooth and creamy taste mixed in with sweet vanilla, floral tones, and a sweet melon flavor. She is definitely a connoisseur weed that will provide you with a top-shelf high that is dreamy and calm. Vanilluna is great for reducing anxiety, relaxing and calming down stressed nerves.
