DJ Short was the original breeder of the first Blueberry strain. After some time he created a double cross between two Blueberry plants and created a new strain named True Blue. Blueberry originally was a cross between an Afghani Indica male and a female that stems from Thai and Oaxacan heritage. The blue lavender tones came from the mother’s genes.

DJ Short prefers growing in organic soil based gardens, but plants perform well in hydroponics, aquaponics and aeroponics growing systems. True Blue doesn’t handle alot of feeding well, but does good with worm castings and bat guano. True Blue branches alot, especially when topped and she will finish around medium height. She will start off a lush dark green color, but as flowering progresses she turns beautiful purple and lavender hues. She also releases a mouthwater smell when flowering. Her buds form long foxtails as they fill out.

True Blue will finish around 8 to 9 weeks indoors, and can go until late September to late October outdoors depending on the latitude. True Blue’s harvested buds are beautiful. They have long-lasting bag appeal and are the models of the marijuana world. They have a fruity and floral scent when finally cured. True Blue also has a lucid and creative social high that is a creeper. True Blue is a great weed to share amongst friends with its great taste and euphoric high.
