Tropicanna is short for ‘Tropical Cannabis’. It reminds you of a lush and tropical island where the finest tropical cannabis would be grown and smoked. The great tropical qualities of Tropicanna was how they got the name got created.
Tropicanna’s parents consist of a Sensi Star F2 female and an Hawaiian Skunk father. Tropicanna takes the short flowering time and small stature of her Indica mother and the great taste, smell and high comes from the Sativa father. Tropicanna does fine in either soil or hydroponics, but, of course, soil results in a better tasting weed. This strain starts off slow, but will speed up as time goes and does best with a screen of green or a multiple branching plant. Outdoors, sea of green gardens work well for those who don’t live in tropical regions. She will finish at the end of September outdoors. Tropicanna’s leaves resemble Sativa plants, they are thin and slender. She prefers minimal nutrients and intervention. She does best with organic fertilizers due to her tropical heritage. Growers can expect her to double in size after flowering has started. It is best to force your plants at around 12 to 18 inches so they will end up around 30 to 36 inches tall.
During the vegetative phase, Tropicanna plants will smell. It tends to calm down as flowering starts and progresses. During the second half of flowering, prepare to be amazed as the buds exploded and form frosty coats of resin. Due to the high amounts of resin produced you should seriously consider making some high quality bubble hash.
Tropicanna buds are typically of amazing quality. They have a great melon, lemon and flowery haze taste. The high is a strong and trippy enjoyable buzz that would go perfect with an island vacation.
