Taiga was developed by Dutch Passions Seeds as a hybrid between their mostly Sativa Power Plant strain and an autoflowering Indica/Ruderalis hybrid. Power Plant was a sensation when it was first released due to the major yields and exceptional strength. Power Plant is still one of Dutch Passion’s best selling strains. Power Plant is a great starter strain for a hybrid due to its adaptive abilities, so she was a perfect strain for this Taiga cross. First, Dutch Passion Seeds selected an early flowering Power Plant female then bred it with the female Ruderalis and Indica hybrid plant. After that, it took lots of time to keep the desirable traits in Taiga like quick flowering, potency, yield and the autoflowering trait.
Taiga has a speedy growth due to its autoflowering capability. She forms a small bushy plant that forms large buds extremely similar to Power Plant. Most plants will average around 2 feet tall, with some as short as 1 foot, and some can reach up to 2.5 feet tall.
When growing Taiga indoors, keep a light cycle similar to 20 hours on and 4 hours off. Starting off from seed whether indoors or outdoors, growers can expect an amazing harvest in only 8 to 10 weeks total. Taiga performs well in half-gallon containers without sacrificing yield. She also does well in areas with the shortest summers. This plant is a strong strain that will grow just about anywhere and can handle any inconsistencies in the grow environment.
Taiga has a sweet and spicy smell and a rich taste which is so close to the Power Plant parent. It is a gentle high that will relax your body and bring your mind up. It is well rounded and can be savored as long as you desire. It won’t knock your socks off, but is great for a day of relaxing and calming activities while being functional if you have to. Taiga is an all-around amazing strain for growing and enjoying by anybody.
