Tahoe Gold is an even Indica and Sativa hybrid that mixes 4 classic strains that were well known in the 1970s. The mother is Sativa plant that was a hybrid of a 1975 Thai strain from seeds and a 1976 to 1977 Skunk #1 plant. The father is a cross between a 1974 Hindu Kush and a 1977 Afghani strain.
Tahoe Gold was developed at high altitudes over 7000 feet so it does well in low and high altitudes. She grows well in just about any setup, but does the best with organic coco coir and guano fertilizers. She will spread out while branching, but ends up forming a main large and fat cola on the main stalk. The one main cola makes Tahoe Gold great for growing in a sea of green garden. This strain starts off slow, but speeds up growth rates when flowering is started and finishes with a bang, gaining large weight in the last two weeks of flowering. Tahoe Gold needs 9 weeks of flowering time, and if you get impatient, you can expect greatly diminished yields. Tahoe Gold flowers in about 10 to 11 weeks outdoors, so she will finish in the second half of October.
