Arjan’s Strawberry Haze is a Sativa strain that is bright green, mid-sized and very sweet in taste and smell. She is a child of Swiss strains on the mother side, but also has influence from Northern Lights #5 and Hazes on the father side. The seeds are also feminized so they will only produce female budding plants. This strain has an aroma that is similar to a candied strawberry and also haze a sweet tasting smoke with a very active and energetic high.
Strawberry Haze is a mountain plant that does well in humid areas and it is quite easy to grow. She is also a strong and versatile plant. In small pots she will grow about 3 feet, while in unrestricted growing spaces she can reach up to 10 feet tall. Strawberry Haze’s branches reach towards the light more than other strains, which allows you to place plants closer to each other. You can make the best use of your space by placing 3 to 4 plants in one square meter.
Strawberry Haze grows best in soil, but has increased yields in hydroponics, but that lessens the taste. Green House Seeds Company recommends that you stay on the light side with fertilizers because this Haze is more sensitive to overfeeding than most other Sativa strains. Slowly increase your pH to 6.5 in hydro or soil from 5.6-5.8 around the end of flowering. Right before harvest, make sure you flush your plants. Flowering generally takes around 10 to 11 weeks indoors or mid-October outdoors.
Arjan’s Strawberry Haze forms fat buds that are covered in resin and stretchy hairs. She does have the expected strawberry smell. It is much sweeter than most other Sativas and has been compared to a mixture of summer blossoms, red berries and rose petals. Strawberry Haze has fast on-coming high that is clear and will get you giggling. It is a great social and creative high that artists will love. This strain was created by Arjan during the years 2000 to 2004. It was first officially put on the market in 2006 and has won 1st prize at Green House Seed’s Very Important Smoker’s Panel in 2005.
