Around the 1980s after the Soviet Union withdrew from Afghanistan, a marijuana strain explorer traveled to Khyber Pass from Amsterdam. She met with local farmers there and traded weed stashes until she gained her trust and was able to return home with ancient and rare Afghani seeds that were chosen for potency along with sedative qualities. They were hard to grow indoors or even outdoors in the Netherlands so they crossed the rare Afghan seeds with Northern Lights to make a great indoor Indica strain known as Slyder.

Sagarmatha tends to vegetate Slyder until you get about 4 to 7 internodes and then clip the central cola. Slyder does well either as a sea of green plant or a multiple branching plant. You can expect at least 300 grams per square meter of high quality bud in a SOG. Slyder is a small statured plant that has certain aspects similar to pine trees. She has dark olive colored foliage and pine-cone shaped buds that glisten with golden and amber resin completely covering them. Slyder is a good plant to keep under wraps because the smell isn’t so strong.

Slyder is the kind of weed you hang on to until you have a really long and painful working day. It is good for curing anxiety, sleeplessness, PTSD, along with a number of ailments that you’d like to forget about. You shouldn’t smoke Slyder when you want to get things done, because once you’re done it’ll have you thinking ‘who cares?’. The buzz is warm and heavy that makes walking irritating unless you’re going to the fridge. It is a good strain to smoke before bed.
