Shiva Skunk is a well-balanced hybrid strain that has excellent vigor and is very easy to grow. Originally Shiva was a selected Afghani type marijuana that was part of the Sensi Seed gene bank in the 80s. Then in 1990, the Seed Bank and Sensi Seeds merged, the original Shiva mother plant was replaced by the best Northern Lights strain, NL #5. The Skunk 18.5 (f-3a) came from Skunk #1, but it has been back-crossed for better characteristics. Shiva Skunk is a powerful hitter among marijuana strains, it still has the sweet pungent taste and aroma of the Skunk parent, but also has much higher yield and larger resin content of the Northern Lights family.
In Holland, this strain is only suitable for growing indoors, but will most likely perform well in more temperate weather zones like Spain or California. Most indoor growing methods you try will deliver excellent results, even in a sea of green style garden. Shiva Skunk is a great, potent, quick Indica that has gained popularity among commercial growers. This strain is very reliable and stable. This strain hardly resembles Skunk in appearance, but looks much more like the Northern Lights parents. The plants will not stretch very much due to the Northern Lights #5 parent, and will have dense, super-resinous Indica buds. There is so little foliage to trim when harvesting that you don’t even really need scissors. Shiva Skunk will give you great sweet, spicy buds with a nice fragrant smoke that makes for a great psychedelic stoney buzz.
