Schmitz – Train Glass Bubbler
Introducing the ‘Train’ style glass bubbler by Schmitz.
This self supporting bubbler features 3 shield like components made from both clear and colored borosilicate glass, which contrasts to beautiful effect. The mouthpiece is formed from one of these ‘shields’, from which a spiral neckline has been formed to adjoin to the main chamber and bowl of the bubbler. The design on the spiral neck remains congruent with the rest of this piece of art glass; however the main chamber is largely clear using the colored borosilicate glass to extenuate the key focal points like the bowl and the diffused downstem.

Schmitz – 3 Shield Cosmo Glass Hand Pipe
Introducing the 3-Shield Cosmo Glass Hand Pipe by the equally talented as he is infamous, Schmitz. Upon first glance this piece looks a complex array of glass plates, however upon closer inspection you can observe 3 shield like plates which engulf the majority of the pipe itself. These shields feature a common theme which is the spiraled intertwining of white, red and blue colored glass canes set upon a midnight black glass base.
The remainder of the pipe is composed of a mouthpiece, a bowl, and a spiraled neckline which joins the two. This spiraled neckline is also a work of unfathomable intricacy as it features a pair of horns, which have been made from the same intertwined canes of glass used to make the shield portions of the pipe. In addition the neckline links the underside of the bowl and mouthpiece, both of which display a symmetrical hypnotic pattern of red and white spirals, making this piece of glass art very attractive from all angles. This glass pipe is characterized by it’s unrivaled beauty, especially around the mouthpiece and bowl (which features a carb hole as well). Schmitz – Cosmo Glass Bowl
Introducing the Cosmo Bowl by the infamous glass blower Schmitz. The Cosmo glass bowl is composed of beautiful midnight black glass and features a myriad of intricately woven blues, reds, greens and pinks. The colored glass canes which have been melted down have been intertwined to create an almost hypnotic like effect. These wig-wag like patterns are prominent around the entire circumference of this glass slide, making it aesthetically pleasing from any angle.
The most awe inspiring section of this piece however is the superb spiral featured on the inside of the bowl, hence the dubbing of the ‘Cosmo Bowl’. The composition of the spiral is from single red and blue canes which have been flawlessly intertwined in the midnight black glass, definitely enhancing the hypnotic effect this glass bowl projects. Schmitz – Disc Glass Slide
This hypnotic piece of glass art from the glassblower known as Schmitz is a phenomenal array of blacks, blues and greens. This Disc Slide begins with the intertwining of three canes of colored glass (black, blue & grey/green) which swirl and spiral to form the bowl of this glass slide. The swirls have been threaded so expertly, that the joins in the glass are seamless while still ensuring the spiral design remains flawless throughout the piece.
As the bowl forms down into the actual disc portion of the slide, the black glass comprises the basis of the background color, where the blue and green canes spiral from the center of the disc all the way out and then wrap around the smoothed edge of the disc. This design features only on one side of the disc, as the other side is embellished with a very unique pattern blown into the glass using slightly different tones of green and blue colored glass. This glass masterpiece sits atop an 18.8mm ground joint and comes complete with the Schmitz signature which is etched into the glass.

Schmitz – Hammer Pipe
Schmitz is a glassblower based in Newport, Oregon, from a family of glassblower Schmitz & Co. pride themselves in being able to blow vibrant and unique pieces, and this Schmitz Hammer Pipe is no different. Usually blowing floats this pipe is a rarity which has been bestowed upon us.
The Hammer Pipe comes with extensive work around the mouthpiece and boasts vivid streaks of green, blue and yellow set which flow throughout this wonderful black and white piece. The main chamber stands 7cm tall and is situated at a 45 degree angle so the pipe rests perfectly between the base of the chamber and the tip of the mouthpiece. There is also an exaggerated carb hold which is located on one side, just underneath the bowl.
This Glass Hammer Pipe comes complete with the Schmitz signature on the underside of the main can. This vibrant piece just oozes character, and would be a welcome addition to any glass collection.

Schmitz Locomotive Glass Bubbler
Introducing the ‘Locomotive’ Glass Bubbler by Schmitz. This stand up bubbler features a vibrantly colored design throughout, set upon clear borosilicate glass. The glass bowl is contains spirals moving into the pipe with shades of red, blue and green. On the left side of the bowl, there is a protruding red stained glass carb hole.
Smoke moves from the bowl into the main chamber that houses a large and wide 9 slit diffuser. The diffuser contains swirls of turquoise and orange. At the base of this mainly clear glass chamber there is a switchback design containing shades of red, orange, blue, green and turquoise. There is also a small etched ‘Schmitz’ signature next to this switchback. Smoke then moves up into an incredibly worked and detailed second chamber that contains a large shield with orange and turquoise swirls, red stained glass arms and a tentacle like ornament leading up to the disc shaped mouthpiece. The large disc shaped mouthpiece contains orange and turquoise swirls around the perimeter. At the center of the mouthpiece there is a large switchback design containing shades of red, blue, orange, green and turquoise.
All in all, a very colorful and heady piece from Schmitz, a master glass blower in the game.
