Sadhu was named for legendary ganja that came from India’s mountain valleys. The wandering ascetics, were known as Sadhus, keep cannabis cultivation and ritual for recreational use alive. Sadhu’s parents are a combination of a specially chosen land race male that came from the Himalayan mountains and Mandala’s quick flowering Indica/Sativa hybrids. Sadhu is a great strain choice for beginner gardeners and anyone else that wants a potent Indica with high yields that is easy to take care of.

Sadhu is Mandala’s shorted Indica plant. It reached only two and a half to three and a half feet tall and is great for grows with space restrictions. She does great in all methods of growth. Due to the short size, she is also great for sea of green gardens. When growing indoors, Mandala Seeds recommends you force flowering after the plant is about two feet tall.

Growing Sadhu outdoors works best in environments with a dry autumn, or up to 45 degrees North latitude. Sadhu typically finishes around mid-September in more Southern latitudes. If you are growing Sadhu in Northern climates that are more extreme she can take up to two weeks longer.

Sadhu forms generous amounts of trichomes on the leaves and buds. As flowering starts, your plants will exhibit a fresh candy smell that reminds you of bubblegum. When drying, the bubblegum turns into a sweet honeydew scent mixed with a spicy fruit flavor. Sadhu is great for hash due to the copious amounts of resin and trichomes covering every inch of this plant. The high is a relaxing and meditative Indica high that is clear headed as well. It builds up slow, but can be overwhelming if you continuously smoke before feeling the full effect. Sadhu is a good medical marijuana that can alleviate stress disorders like hyperactivity and insomnia. It is also reported to help cancer patients and have an antidepressant effect.
