Querkle’s name was derived from its Indica mother. Purple Urkle is a popular Northwest Pacific marijuana strain that most people can easily recognize. She is characterized by short height, slow growth and a great purpling change that happens close to harvest time resulting in juicy purple and lavender buds. The Q in Querkle’s name comes from the Space Queen father plant. Space Queen was a breeding project created by TGA Subcool which combined Romulan, Cindy 99 and BC. The Space Queen father plant is typically used to speed up growth and yield in most crosses.
Querkle is a short Indica plant that has leaves that feel like leather. She does well indoors and outdoors as long as there is good weather until October. Querkle doesn’t stretch at all so you can vegetate it for quite some time without worrying about running out of space. TGA Subcool recommends that you top the plant early for more yield. Once you get the hang of Querkle, you should expect each plant to yield around 4 ounces each. Querkle also does well in a sea of green garden. When starting flowering at 12 inches you can expect a quarter ounce of quality bud from each bud site. During flowering the bottom of the fan leaves tend to turn into burgundy shade and as it comes closer to harvest time the leaves and the stems turn into a dark purple mixed in with a silvery black shading.
Querkle’s buds are rock hard and are often quite heavy. This strain is best used as a nightcap smoke, something to help get you into bed or when all you wanna do is relax. It is also useful for calm outdoor activities that don’t rely on alot of effort. It is a creeping buzz that seems to last forever.
