Purple Voodoo’s voodoo part of its name was to describe how it magically transforms as it undergoes flowering. Purple Voodoo has a few parents, all of it which are purple strains. The mother is Double Purple Doja, which is a cross between Apollo 13 and Black Russian. It is a short and fat plant that turns dark burgundy towards the end of flowering. The father is a cross between Purple Urkel and Purple Diesel strains which adds extra yield to Purple Voodoo.
This strain is great for growing outdoors in California, or other similar climates like in parts of spain. At higher elevations or more damp climates, growers will need to make changes to prevent molding from the large buds that form. Purple Voodoo finishes around mid to late October and can reach around 6 feet tall. Purple Voodoo tends to yield the most when grown as a multiple branching plant indoors and doesn’t care much for a sea of green garden. Top Purple Voodoo early to form large upper buds. Plants grown indoors will finish around 4 feet tall, and sea of green plants will finish around 2 to 3 feet tall. Purple Voodoo tends to take on several different amazing hues and tones during flowering. Towards the end of flowering, the purple in Purple Voodoo starts showing up to create a beautiful looking marijuana plant.
Purple Voodoo has a smooth and very flavorful smoke that is enjoyable. The odor is just about a strong as it can get so indoor growers need odor control. Purple Voodoo’s buzz is something that will entrance you to stick to your couch and take you out of this world. It is good for a lazy afternoon or an evening night cap.
