Back in the 1980s, Purple marijuana plants and strains were growing in popularity as an excellent smoke. They were almost entirely imported because they didn’t grow too well in Northern European regions. Purple Power was created by Nirvana to address this very issue. Purple Power has all the great qualities of the best Purple strains all while being easy to grow in colder and wetter climates.

Purple Power is a mostly outdoor strain that does best with tons of sun and warm temperatures, but can also thrive in even variable Dutch weather. This strains resembles classic Sativa plants that have long stems and are purple from seed. There are numerous budding sites on the plants and have they have the typical thin Sativa leaf structure.

Purple Power is a heavy yielder with buds that become darker hues of purple if grown in colder weather. Growers can expect atleast a 6 foot tall plant if grown in a greenhouse or in warmer climates. In more temperate growing environments you can expect an average of 5 feet tall plants.

Purple Power’s smell is sweet and sour like candy, and she also has a tropical taste that is much sweeter than the smell. Purple Power is a calm smoke that gives you a clear Sativa high. Purple Power is a great all-day strain to smoke because the high is fun, but it is still functional and won’t have you pass out when you have things you need to do.

Purple Power won the High Times Cannabis Cup in 1998.
