Pure Skunk #1 is the direct and unaltered descendants of the first stable Skunk #1 hybrid that was created in California in the late 70s, then was brought to Holland in 1985. Unlike the name, this strain doesn’t have the ever-so-common skunky smell that is usually associated with the pure Afghani marijuana strains. It has a sweet smell, accompanied with a full, satisfying taste.
Skunk #1 is 75 percent Sativa and has a modified Sativa appearance. This plant stays shorter than most Sativas and has few leaves that are large and it also has short internodes. Skunk #1 has large flowers that vary in color from lime green to gold, especially during harvest time. The buds are dense, but there is enough airflow between the buds so mold will not be a problem. Skunk #1′s resistance to mold is what makes this strain a perfect hybrid plant for greenhouse cultivation where high quality buds and high yields are important. The Afghani parent of Skunk #1 speeds up the finishing time of this marijuana strain to only 8 weeks indoors.
