Northern Lights is one of the most popular Indica marijuana strains around, and is well-known for being one of the most potent strains. Originally, Northern #1 was a long, stretchy plant with a refreshing scent and good bud formation. This strain was the base of the Northern Lights hybrid that Sensi Seeds sold as their Northern Lights. Northern Lights #5 has now taken over as the base for the cross, because it adds high potency and reduce the flowering time needed, but is minor in taste and smell. Northern Lights is highly adapted to indoor growing and can finish flowering in as little as 6 weeks. It also has high yields that make it suitable for any kind of growing. Northern Lights naturally does best with a hydroponics setup, but will do just as well in soil. Northern Lights performs in all varieties of growing conditions, but yield is directly related to the amount of light and space available for the plants.

Northern Lights has dense, resin-filled flowers with the typical wide-fingered Indica leaves.
