This Northern Lights #5 x Haze hybrid is the first successful 50% Haze cross that has been released by marijuana breeders. Haze is a long flowering Sativa that came from the US and was very popular in the 1970s, though it almost became extinct in the 80s as most growers switched to easier, higher yielding strains. Cannabis Castle breeders then crossed Haze with a predictable growing, and quick finishing Northern Lights #5 to make a high yielding producer, with a quicker finishing time, and a refreshing and psychedelic high.
Due to the Sativa genetics in this marijuana strain it can stretch alot and takes a little longer to finish than most marijuana hybrids. There is an advantage to the stretching during flowering as it allows clones to start flowering as soon as they are rooted. A few growers even start their seeds under 12/12 light period with relative success. Since you can start flowering so soon with this cross, you can make it finish in a similar amount of time as regular Indica crosses.
Don’t harvest this plant too early, or the buds won’t quite be ripe, be patient and let the strain finish, it will be well worth it with a great, high quality harvest. Northern Lights #5 x Haze has fresh, peppery and spicy Sativa-looking buds that also has a clean, peppery taste. This is definitely not a creeper strain, the high is quick to come up and very cerebral, also has been referred to as ‘speed weed’ in Holland. The high from Northern Lights #5 x Haze is quite a social high that is slightly psychedelic to make any day better than before.
