Dr. Greenthumb collected seeds from Oaxaca in Mexico and Jalalabad in Afghanistan to form this marijuana strain. The Oaxacan strain had sweet and heavy yielding buds that were practically leafless. The smoke was also very potent and strong, but it’s finishing time was only suited for it’s Mexican homeland, not the Eastern coast of Canada. When the Oaxacan strain was combined with the Afghani strain that was accustomed to temperate latitudes, Niagara resulted as a hybrid variety that kept the clear and alert high, low foliage amount, and easily finished outdoors at higher latitudes.

It was named Niagara due to its Canadian birthplace. Niagara has been selectively bred over decades for a shorter height and earlier finish. This dark green plant has equally dark colored buds along with a full-bodied that reminds you of Canadian forests where it can happily grow. In addition to being a great outdoor plant, Niagara can grow well indoors using soil or hydroponics. It has a high flower-to-leaf ratio that makes it quick and easy to manicure once it has finished.
