Mazar is named for Maza-I-Shariff, the marijuana center of Afghanistan. Dutch Passion created Mazar by crossing Skunk #1 with a very strong and resin-covered Afghani Indica plant that was hand selected from Maza-I-Shariff. In Spain or California, Mazar is great to grow outdoors, but if you’re trying to grow in places with a shorter growing season like Canada or Holland keep your plants indoors. Mazar also performs well in greenhouses too.
This strain does good in soil or hydroponics and usually is around 3 feet or less, which makes it perfect for a sea of green garden. Her leaves will stay green throughout the entire flowering cycle, even after she is ready for harvest. There is also a third flowering wave that is right before harvest, so if you keep her growing you can get even more yields in such short amounts of times.
Mazar has a pine and sandalwood smell that is easy to hide due to the characteristics of the smell. Mazar is also quite easy on your lungs, so smoke up if you’re not feeling well. The high becomes quickly psychedelic and has couch-locking qualities and it might even put you to sleep. Mazar doesn’t build up tolerance quickly so you should be able to use it as a great night time smoke for helping getting enough sleep. Certain Mazar plants will also exhibit a more Sativa phenotype which also includes a more awake high with a great head buzz. Mazar has won the 1999 High Times Cannabis Cup and also won High Life Cannabis Cup in 2002.
