Sagarmatha was helping his friend stash a few Grey Mist plants, and the only place where he had room was with the Matanuska Tundra plants. So, after awhile the plants created a new strain that was named Matanuska Mint. The breeders liked it enough to hybridize the too and produce them. It’s name was originally Matanuska Mist, but due to the minty flavor and the mint-colored leaves, he decided to change it to Matanuska Mint.
Matanuska Mint is an even Sativa/Indica hybrid and that can be seen in the leaves and the stone. She can successfully be grown outdoors on the Pacific Coast, and does just as good indoors. Vegetate Matanuska Mint until you get 4 to 7 internodes then finish off as a multi-branch plant and it will reach around 3 to 4 feet tall. Soil and hydroponics growing both work just as well.
Matanuska Mint has greasy and trichome-covered buds. They typically are about the size of a large cigar, but have a great minty aroma. This strain is quite strong and after one or two hits you can definitely feel it. Matanuska Mint is great for a fun night out with friends due to the amount of energy it seems to give you for hours. It has menthol-tasty smoke that calms your throat and your lungs so it also has medical potential as well.
