Kandahar is an a region that is located in the most southern part of Afghanistan near the Hindu Kush mountains. Current events cause this area to be known for war and terrorism, but back in the day everyone there had an understanding of what great marijuana is. It is one of the oldest trading settlements in history and they certainly traded hashish. Kandahar is also known as the birthplace of Indica marijuana.

This Kandahar strain is an Indica hybrid that has a pure Afghani mother and an Afghani Skunk father. Kandahar is a short Indica plant with that is branchy and has compact buds that are pale green in color. The branches don’t stretch, but tend to stay close to the plant resembling a Christmas tree.

Kandahar performs best as a multiple branching plant, but can be used in a sea of green garden with a little perseverance. The leaves begin to turn bright yellow or purple towards the ends of flowering or it becomes cold. Kandahar fares well if there are a few nights and has a good mold resistance. When growing Kandahar outdoors, you can expect to plant in late July and harvest at the beginning of October. Indoor plants tend to yield about a pound per square meter and outdoor plants around 14 ounces per plant.

Kandahar has a semi-sweet and sour palate that smells just like a street bazaar. You can almost taste the fruit you smell. When burning them they smell like toasted nuts. Kandahar has a strong body stone that can lock you to your couch if you’re not careful. This strain is good for undemanding activities like relaxing, watching TV or listening to music.
