This is a set of instructions for a very easy homemade bottle bong that only requires two different parts, the bottle and a bowl, or stem from a previous bong. I had come up with this idea after shattering the original water bong that I was using my stem for and of course I needed another one, but didn’t want to go out looking for one or spending the money on a new one.
Bottle Bong Materials:
1 20 oz soda bottle or water bottle
1 Bong Stem
1 Glue Gun (optional)
1 Soldering Gun (optional)
Something to make holes in bottle if you don’t want to use soldering gun or glue gun
Homemade Bong Procedure:
- First, you’re going to take unscrew the cap from the bottle.
- Get your soldering gun and heat it up, you don’t need a soldering gun, but it makes it easier for you to poke holes in the bottle, alternatively you could probably use the glue gun for this step as well, I use the soldering gun because its faster and quicker at heating up.
- You’re going to put two moderately sized holes (needs to be the size of the diameter of your bong stem) in your bottle. One on the side of the bottle towards the bottom, should be an inch or two above the bottom, and one about an inch or so above the first hole.
- Put your bong stem into the first hole you made. I put a hole in the 20oz bottle cap and poked the stem through there then onto the bottle, this prevents the stem from being wobbly, and if it your holes are tight enough you shouldn’t have to worry about this anyways. If you made your holes the right size your stem should slide in and fit snugly enough to be used right away. My homemade bong is airtight without glue so I didn’t have to glue it. If not you will have to do the optional step to make sure it is airtight.
- Optional Step: Use the glue gun to seal the hole and attach your bong stem to the homemade bong.
That’s about it folks. This homemade bong may seem too simple to be true, but its simplicity is what makes it effective. The first hole that holds the bong stem is in the perfect spot for good pull, and the second hole will act as your carb, while you just suck it on the bottle. This homemade bottle bong is perfect for blonging, where you take half your blunt, or roach and stick it in the bong bowl so you hit your blunt through the bong. It works like a double hit and gets you higher than just doing it either way.

You probably shouldn’t smoke out of this if you dont want toxins and carcinogens being added to your smoke.
