Green House Seed Company developed this Thai strain to commensurate the great qualities of Southeast Asian marijuana strains. This strain’s heritage comes from a carefully selected strain among Thailand’s most popular Sativa plants. They wanted to choose a non-hermaphroditic plant, but was difficult due to the commonness of hermaphrodite plants in this region. The females they found were then bred with a male that found near the border of Laos. The result was Green House Thai which is a long-season mostly Sativa strain. The Laos father helped speed up the flowering and shorten the internode distant which helped with bud production. They stabilized the Thai-Laos cross and then feminized it to produce Green House’s Green House Thai.

Green House Thai has several characteristics known to all tropical marijuana plants. A tall Sativa that has slim bright green leaves and large amounts of branches. Green House Thai demands large amounts of space due to its branching. Green House Seed Company definitely recommends growing this plant so it can reach its maximum size for the best yield. You will be disappointed with the results if you limit this strain’s size. A screen of green is a great way to let this plant achieve is potential growth while conserving as much space as possible.

Sativa lovers will definitely love this plant. It is also good for an experienced gardener, but not very recommended for a beginning gardener unless you have some patience or a great desire to grow your own great Sativa. This strain takes over 14 weeks to finish and can sometimes take up to 16 weeks depending on the environment.

Green House Thai does well in either soil or hydroponics. In Thailand, she does very well outdoors, but in less equatorial regions you will not get the same results due to the long growing season. Night temperatures for Green House Thai needs to stay above 60 degrees F. She is a picky plant that also needs a strict 12/12 light regiment for a successful flowering stage. She doesn’t need much food though. Make sure she has good levels of nitrogen until around the 4th or 5th week of flowering or she will yellow before she’s supposed to.

Green House Thai takes alot of work, effort and patience to grow well, but the reward is well worth it. It’s smell and flavor resembles nuts, earthy flavors similar to incense and spices. Green House Thai gives a wild mind-opening high that is good for meditation, yoga, or creative relaxation.
