Diamond Head’s name come from a large volcano that is located in Hawaii. Diamond Head (the volcano) is a glimmering jewel on Oahu’s tropical skyline. Anyone who’s had this Diamond Head strain holds it in high regard. This strain is what Sagamartha believed to be her version of primo pakalolo.
Sagamartha crossed a mother Flow plant with an atypical Flow male that displayed a Hawaiian phenotype. Diamond Head is a Sativa/Indica cross, but displays mostly a Sativa growth pattern with slim purple leaves and lengthy purple buds covered with coatings of resin and trichomes. The large dense flower tops and squishy buds are the only thing that shows its Indica heritage.
Diamond Head would naturally prefer to grow on a Hawaiian mountain side, but that’s not always the case. This plant needs to be able to ripen into mid or late October when growing outdoors. If you choose to grow indoors, Sagarmatha recommends soil mediums. You can use a sea of green gardening method or training the branches as a suitable approach. Alot of Diamond Head’s large shiny buds can be harvest early, alot of times you can actually harvest this strain twice if the growing season is long enough. The buds are heavy and have a bread-like consistency and reach around 3 to 8 inches in length. This strain reaches 6 to 8 foot outdoors and around 3 to 5 feet indoors.
Diamond Head smells and tastes just like you’re in Hawaii. It exhibits clean wet greenery odor and taste combined with a hint of pineapple and hibiscus. It has a smooth and easy high that calms you down and will make you peaceful without passing out.
