System of a Down helped name this marijuana strain when they met with the Green House Seed Company breeders during a strain naming session in 2005. They were also on the Very Important Smokers panel. The Church was actually named after the lyrics in one of their songs.
The Church is a mostly Indica strain that grows well in just about any area. She performs well in temperate and mountainous environments as well as tropical areas that are typically used for outdoor grows. She also handles high levels of humidity well due to her resistance to mold. The Church does in soil gardens indoors, but will not disappoint in hydro systems. She will branch moderately and form a bush. Green House Seeds recommends growers spacing their plants about one per two square feet to give the proper room for growth. Prune well so she will focus her growing energies into the buds.
If you expose The Church to low night time temperatures she will turn purple quick. The buds have short and thick hairs. They also form a sage shine due to the silvery-gray color of the resin.
The Church’s high is a mental one that will put your mind and body at ease. It starts out in the head with a relaxing feeling, then melts into the body and lasts for hours. She has a red berry and spring flower taste that is sweet and not too harsh. The Church has a mild and calming high that is good for keeping concentration and getting things done.
