Chrystal is Nirvana Seeds celebrity child, a hybrid of the popular Northern Lights and White Widow. White Widow is the standard for all of the White marijuana strains out there. Nirvana’s version of the White Widow is a tall plant that has compact buds copiously covered with resin. Nirvana’s Northern Lights is more of a Sativa plant that gives you a very up, energizing and social high.
The hybrid, Chrystal combines the best of two worlds, creating a great strain with a good genetic payload from each of its parents. It grows well indoors whether grown in soil or hydroponics. Hydroponics gardens are more suitable for commercial growing as it maximizes yields with easy-to-trim and compact buds, even though it cuts down on the plant’s delicious smell. Soil gardens of Chrystal tend to develop the odors and more complex flavors of the two parents that marijuana connoisseurs will love.
As an F1 hybrid, Chrystal is an aggressive grower that needs to be controlled. When it reaches the end of its flowering phase, stake and support all the branches that needs or else you’ll be finding them snapped by the time of harvest. Due to Chrystal’s Northern Lights heritage she has a high bud-to-leaf ratio that makes her easy to trim and get ready for smoking. Chrystal can reach around three feet when flowered at about sixteen inches. Just like Northern Lights, Chrystal’s growth structure makes it perfect for a SOG garden. Nirvana Seeds has noted that Chrystal also performs just as well in a greenhouse environment and letting it branch out. Those plants can reach six feet tall and easily yield 750 grams per plant.
Chrystal develops sticky buds that have a noticeable gasoline/kerosene overtone that reminds you of a freshly cut lawn. The high is a quick hitter that is great for socializing and gives you energy and effects both your mind and body. Chrystal won first place in the Dutch High Life Cup in 2002.
