Chocolate Chunk, like the name suggests, is a chunky and dense Indica that has a very dark hashy flavor reminiscent of bittersweet chocolate, and a narcotic high. This plant has a bright green color to its leaves that eventually darken to a deep green as it flowers and matures. It has wide leaves and an over-exaggerated structure leaving little doubt that is a true Indica plant.
In Europe, Chocolate Chunk is known as a special indoor marijuana variety, but has outperformed other marijuana strains when grown outdoors in the United States. Chocolate Chunk is a great strain to cross when making hybrids, especially if you have a good marijuana strain, but it’s not producing enough yield or buds aren’t quite compact enough for your tastes.
Chocolate Chunk finishes in 8 weeks, and has a very smooth, easy on the lungs smoke. The finished product has a dark smell, but isn’t too musky. Chocolate Chunk is a very low-key strain on the smell radar. When properly ventilated and minimally disturbed you won’t even know its there throughout the growing cycle. Like other pure Indica strains, Chocolate Chunk tends to retain water so be weary with your watering to make sure it grows correctly and isn’t over-watered.
Chocolate Chunk received 4th place in the 2000 High Times Cannabis Cup.
