There are substantial records of research trying to determine whether marijuana is actually addictive or not. There hasn’t been a full consensus reached in the scientific community yet, but evidence points to no. When compared to alcohol, tobacco, or other drugs marijuana is not really addictive. Withdrawal symptoms are few and far between. The Institute of Medicine determined that patients in research settings experienced mild symptoms of restlessness, agitation, irritability and sleep disruption. Due to the mildness of the symptoms though, there is not enough problems to cause someone to continue the use of marijuana just to get rid of the symptoms. Less than one out of ten people become daily and regular users of marijuana. Most people over 34 years of age voluntarily decide to end their use of the drug.

Marijuana-Fat-CellsThe rumor is that marijuana can stay in your fat cells and will keep you high for months. Anti-drug organizations have been spreading this rumor for as long as marijuana has been illegal. I believe this rumor was developed in order to compare marijuana to methamphetamine. For those of you that know anything about methamphetamine addicts, once they’ve been hooked on the drug for so long, they start scratching due to uncontrollable itches from methamphetamine withdrawal and side effects of the drug. After scratching their skin raw, scabs containing methamphetamine will develop on their skin and the worst of addicts will peel these scabs off and eat them to maximize their crazed high. So in essence, methamphetamine can keep you high for days, and months as long as you keep using the drug and eating your scabs. Of course, that is just my theory, who knows what those crazy anti-drug organizations smoke to come up with such weird horror stories and rumors about marijuana.

Weed-Smoking-DeathsMarijuana is the most popular drug/plant consumed in the United States and in the world. So many people love smoking weed, so it’s a wonder why there are so few deaths attributed to the consequences of marijuana use.

Hemp
Hemp is marijuana. Specifically, hemp is cannabis sativa and has been used for thousands of years for multiple purposes. Hemp is most well-known for the fiber that can be made from it. Hemp can also be used as food and is very nutritious. Most populations that used hemp in the past as food grind up the seeds to make a kind of gruel/oatmeal mixture, but now hemp can be made into very nutritional and tasty food products with our technological advances. George Washington and Thomas Jefferson both owned farms that grew hemp. The declaration of Independence was even signed on hemp paper. Some of the products made are: clothing, shoes, diapers, rope, canvas, cellophane, paints, fuels, chain lubricants, biodegradable plastics, paper, fiberboard, cement blocks, food, cosmetics, and soap. Hemp is genetically manipulated to contain no significant amounts of THC (the psychoactive ingredient of marijuana). Hemp is the longest and strongest natural fiber known to man.

Weight-Weed
Weighting weed is a bit of a science. The first time you do it, the hardest it is, but once you figure out the little tricks to your scale and the kind of weed you have you can be weighting weed like a pro.

Marijuana-Name-Come-From
Back in the day, like early 1930s, Mexicans were immigrating over the border. Along with those Mexicans, came the cannabis plant. They didn’t refer to it as cannabis though, it was simply known as marijuana. Actually it was spelled ‘marihuana’ eventually somewhere the h got swapped out with a j. During the US Governments great marijuana drug scare campaign in the 1930s once it finally became illegal, they used the word marijuana wildly in their propaganda trying to scare people away from enjoying its effects. They often referred to it as a devil plant, it will make you go crazy, make you wanna rape people, etc.

What-is-marijuanaMarijuana is a plant that when consumed delivers psychoactive effects that are pleasurable to the user. Marijuana also known as cannabis, weed, pot among many other nicknames. It is the third most popular used recreational ‘drug’ in America. The cannabis plant is an annual plant that can be grown outdoors or indoors. It is fast growing, bushy and produces dense, sticky flowers that are smoked.

Smoking-Marijuana-HitThis is the one question that almost every new stoner asks. Movies like Cheech and Chong and How High have everyone believing that you need to hold your hit in a minute at the least and several at the most atleast until you almost pass out from lack of oxygen.

Roor-Water-Bongs-Percolators-Diffusers
I came across this question as I was recently looking at newer and high quality bongs available from different bong manufacturers, mainly Roor and Pure Glass, typically all their bongs have either a percolator and/or diffuser, but unless you already have a bong with a percolator or diffuser then it’s really hard to tell what they actually do besides just making the bong better and higher quality.

Cop-Lights-Pulled-OverWhen the flashing lights turn on and you’re taking a puff of your blunt, you only have seconds to react. What are you going to do that with that blunt? Did the cop see you smoking the blunt? Or what was it that you did to get pulled over? Last, but not least, what do you do with the rest of your weed?! Getting pulled over and caught with marijuana is every smoker’s nightmare. When you only have those few seconds before the cop is up at your window, you need to react and either stash the weed or get rid of it so it isn’t in your car somehow.
