Casey Jones is a great combination of two already excellent strains, a great looking mother of Trainwreck x Thai, and the father comes from Rezdog’s Sour Diesel v3 marijuana line. The Trainwreck x Thai mother originally came from Billy Goat Seed’s Oriental Express cross, which gave it a sweet flavor and a transcendental high.
Casey Jones was the original created of the greatest Trainwreck strain of all time, so it was only appropriate to make his name the name of this Sour Diesel Trainwreck strain. Casey Jone’s high is amazing and won’t disappoint you. Casey Jone’s has a slight variation in plant structure sometimes growing Thai foxtails or Diesel plumes. It still has the short flowering time of the Oriental Express mother, which allows it to be ready for harvest in about 8 weeks. Even novice growers can grow Casey Jones well, it isn’t overly picky, and is suitable for newbies and cannabis connoisseur alike.
Casey Jones is a good multi-branching plant, but does even better when trained. Moderately feed this plant, don’t overdo it and you will have a plant around 30 to 40 inches tall when flowering is induced at 12 to 16 inches. Casey Jones also does good in a sea of green with single cola plants yielding around 1/3 to 1/2 of an ounce per plant. When grown as a large multi-branched plant you can expect atleast 3.5 ounces per plant. The flowers that form on Casey Jones are tight and clustered with colorful pistils that change from orange to pink. The leaves on this plant are thin and elongated while the stems might turn purple later in the flowering phase.
Casey Jone’s flavor is a combination of both of the parent plants, a sweet and sugary Oriental Express mixed in with the citrus sourness of the Sour Diesel. It has a quick acting high that can be felt almost immediately and lasts from about an hour and a half to two hours. The high is very ‘up’ and trippy which makes it great for thinking about life’s wonders or enjoying equally fun activities. Casey Jones’ high can make one feel more connected to the world and those around leading to some very open conversations. Don’t do anything important or that requires lots of focused concentration while under this strain’s effects.
