Candy Cane Brain is a hybrid that comes from a series of crosses that start with the Brain Strain. Brain Strain is the primary strain in Shadow Seed’s breeding program. Shadow Seed Company first crossed Brain Strain with a high yielding Blueberry x Northern Lights hybrid. They then backcrossed the children with Brain Strain once again making Silver Shadow. Silver Shadow has a high bud-to-leaf ratio and is more Indica than its predecessors. The last cross that was made to form Candy Cane Brain, Silver Shadow was crossed with the fruity Grapefruit strain, making for a great pedigree among marijuana.

Candy Cane Brain grows well when you grow it a single branch sea of green plant or let it multibranch if you have the room for it. Its branches have minimal foliage and heavy bud sites. It will stretch after the first couple of weeks so it will need to be staked to prevent the heavy branches from breaking off. Once it is fully matured, Candy Cane Brain will have a full coating of shiny crystals that even cover the large fan leaves. That crystal coating delivers an aroma that will tempt some of the weaker-willed smokers to indulge before it is ready for harvest.
