Blue Skunk Special was born after the breeder, Krystal, crossed Northern Lights #5 with a huge dominating Blueberry #1 plant. Then it was back crossed with Holland Skunk Special to create Blue Skunk Special. When grown in optimal conditions Blue Skunk Special will become a large plant with large calyxes and purple-blue tones.
Blue Skunk Special is ‘special’ due to the fact that is has skunk in its name. It has no smell that resembles anything even close to skunk, it smells more like blueberry, spice, and honey oil. Blue Skunk Special tastes like fruit with a dash of pepper. The buzz from this strain is very laid back and smooth, locking you to the couch until you get hungry. Blue Skunk Special tends to stay at a medium height, but is a stocky plant with lots of branching and large fan-shaped leaves.
Blue Skunk Special performs well in an indoor professional growing environment or greenhouse. This strain was once mistaken for an orange tree when grown in a greenhouse, though the scent left from it makes it to mistake its identity. Blue Skunk Special also does just as well in hydroponic and organic soil growing setups. Since this plant has a tendency for multiple branches grow it as a large plant with multiple branches. If you wish, you can trim it to work well in a sea of green method too. Blue Skunk Special also grows great outdoors reaching up to 6 feet tall.
