i just got the black leaf perc bowel an it seems pretty decent, its got a hit/carb hole so if your bong already has one youl find yaself getting in a muddle depending how ya bongs setup. i needed to tape up the one on my bong cos it took both hands to cover both of them an i cant light it up by myself then.
ive done 1 bong so far but thats cos i got a bushmaster buzzard aswell so ave been testing that out. i need to experiment more to see which hole is best left open, im also not to sure if its an ashcatcher its got or not, cos it has an sealed area around the actual bowels opening were you put your herb (you can see it in the pic above), there is another small hole in this areas flooring to allow the smoke to pass through but the glass flooring that sections it off from the perc is very close to the bottom of the bowel an it doesnt appear to let the ash fall through onto the flooring as its so close an tight. it seem like it should fall through but then i wonder how your meant to clean the ash out fo this area afterwards but then it doesnt seem feasible to have to clean out the bowel after each hit as you put water in the the actual perc section so tipping it up to empty is just a silly idea,
maybe im just using it wrong im not really used to all these percs an stuff im used to just having the oldskool bongs that just had a hit hole, but from wot ive seen i think im using it the right way.
seems a pain to keep clean but it works very well its makes for a much smoother hit, i put this in a weedstar messiahs illusion(no ice) my bong doesnt have any other perc/diffusers an it has defo made a big difference in the overall hit.
to me it is also a lot bigger than i expected.great lil contraption.
